The woman behind the Brand…
LuxeGlow Tan Founder Tanya Somerville is also the founder of the Beauty Destination SassyBodies - Made for EveryBODY. With over 28 years of experience in the beauty industry, Tanya's journey began behind the cosmetics counter at her local pharmacy. Through training with major cosmetic houses and skincare brands, she discovered her natural flair for makeup and skincare. This led her to become the resident cosmetologist at the exclusive Hayman Island.
Afterwards, Tanya delved into the world of pharmaceutical sales and training, representing some of the biggest skincare, fragrance, and beauty brands. Her passion for helping people feel confident in their own skin remained unwavering. As a mother of four children, Tanya sought a career that would allow her to be more available to her family. Thus, she started her tanning career as a mobile tanner and trained with one of Australia's top tanning brands, giving birth to "SassyTan."
In addition to tanning, Tanya also purchased a Teeth whitening franchise, which led to the creation of "SassyBodies." Initially operating out of a salon and later from a home base, SassyBodies became the go-to destination for spray tans and body sculpting. Tanya's expertise in flawless tanning attracted a diverse clientele, including Australia's A-list TV stars, models, and individuals preparing for special events such as weddings, formals, and competitions.
Throughout her experience tanning thousands of clients, Tanya noticed common issues such as uneven skin tones, pigmentation, aging, sun damage, and cellulite. Determined to address these concerns, she embarked on creating a product that could provide a perfect tan for everybody. Thus, LuxeGlow Tan was born. The signature Clear range, which is bronzer-free and contains anti-aging and skin-firming ingredients, has become highly sought after, especially among brides who appreciate its non-staining properties. The LuxeGlow Tan Professional range offers a total of four colours, while the personal at-home mousse collection features three colours.
Tanya's commitment to excellence and her genuine desire to empower her clients shine through in every aspect of SassyBodies/LuxeGlow Tan. In line with her giving nature and personal triumphs, Tanya has partnered with "Small steps 4 Hannah," a charity dedicated to raising awareness for domestic violence and fostering respectful relationships.
